| LTTE Tamil Tiger
Terrorist's Nugegoda NO LIMIT Bomb Attack |
| This is an incident
occurred on 28th November 2007 at about 5.55p.m at the Nugegoda
Junction, near to the NOLIMIT Garment Shop situated near the
Kohuwala-High Level Road Junction, about 10km from the City
of Colombo.
A parcel had been identified without an owner which had been
kept at the parcel counter of the shop and an employee named
W. A. Prabath Weerasinghe who worked there as a security guard
having observed it, had informed a Police Constable who was
on duty nearby and the said police officer having tried to
open the parcel which had exploded and thereby caused death
to 22 persons and injuries to nearly 40 persons.
This is a genocide which had been caused by the Tiger Terrorists
against the raciest war in the North, with the aid of parcel
bomb to destroy the lives of the people in South and to thereby
disrupt the operation in the North.

Tamil Tiger Terrorist's Bomb Attack at Nugegoda |

My elder sister’s daughter Shanika Oshadi
Pilessage was residing at Pannipitiya. She was employed in
a private institution at Pita Kotte and has been residing
at our house from short time. She was engaged to be married
to one Anjana Danushka residing at Pita Kotte. On the day
that the Bomb exploded at the No Limit shop at Nugegoda on
28-Nov-2007 she left home at about 7.00a.m as usual to go
for work. Usually she comes home after work by about 7.00p.m
. As she did not come that day, on inquires made by me I came
to know that a bomb exploded at the No Limit shop at Nugegoda.
Therefore we were excited and gave a call to her mobile phone
but there was no answer and we were frightened and having
come to know that the injured and the dead were taken to the
hospital and when we checked by going to Kalubowila Hospital,
I identified the the bodies of my elder sister’s daughter
Pilessage and the body of Anjana Danushka who was engaged
to be married to her. About 20 persons had died from the bomb
and the bodies were lying at the hospital. I came to know
that another two of the injured died thereafter.
The age of our child Oshadi Pilessage is 25 years. They would
have get caught to this bomb whilst she was coming forward
after getting down from the bus halt near the No Limit shop.
I identified her body and after the legal proceedings was
over brought her body home for the funeral. I came to know
that including the pedestrians on the road, about 22 persons
died and 40 were injured due to this bomb. I came to know
that a parcel without an owner was found at the counter of
the No Limit shop and that is exploded when a Police Constable
attempted to check it and a great destruction of lives and
property was caused by it.
In the war against the Tiger Terrorist in the North, the
steps take by the Tiger Terrorists to destroy the community
of the South are numerous. We believe this bomb is one such
thing. I believe that our unmarred child Shanika Oshadi Pilessage
died due to a bomb of the LTTE . |

My son worked at the No Limit fashion store as a security
guard and looked after me, his mother and farther. He was
very conscious about his duties and he sacrificed his life
while performing his duties.
My son Indika was a handsome youth. His sudden death due
to a bomb explosion by the LTTE Tamil tiger terrorists is
an unbearable to me as a mother. After the explosion, my son
face had got discolored due to burns. The sight of his dead
body is haunting me day and night. I will have to live with
theses unbearable memories until my death.
My son was everything to me. Therefore, after loosing my
everything, I live for the sake of living. |

Nuwan Kumara |
My son Thilanga Nuwan Kumara (PC 60890) got his first appointment
as a Police constable at Mirihana Police Station. On 28th
of November 2007 while he was on duty near the No Limit shopping
complex at Nugegoda, a bomb explosion that took place in there
killed him. He had gone to inspect a parcel, a suspicious
parcel at the shopping complex on being informed by the security
guard who was on duty at the complex. This bomb planted by
the ltte Tamil tiger terrorists, caused the death of my son
as revealed at the Magistrate inquiry.
This disaster has turned our lives up side down. He was
the breadwinner of the family. Two elder daughters are unmarried.
He was looking after all of us. It is an unbearable loss
to all of us. We have no income; we find it very hard to
manage our day-to-day need.

| Vichithar
srimali of Homagama was the second child in a family of three
children. With the sudden death of her farther, the breadwinner
of the family, Srimali had to take up the responsibility of
maintaining the family. She had joined a private enterprise
at Kohuwala and had left home on 28th of November 2007 to go
to her work place. She was a talented girl with high hopes of
her bright future.
That day she got late to come home. She used to walk up to
High Level road from Kohuwala and traveled to Homagama by
office transport van, which picked her up near the Bank of
Ceylon building at 6.00p.m. When we heard about the explosion
at the No Limit shopping complex, we tried to contact her
by calling her mobile phone. However when there was no answer,
we called one of her friend who travel in the same van with
her. She told us that she did not come to the usual place
where she used to get into the van. As there was a big rush
after the explosion, vehicles were not allowed to stop. When
we called one of her office friend, she told us that at the
time of the explosion she might have seemed near the spot.
We had no other place to look for her except the Kalubowila
Hospital. We went there search of her to all the wards but
she was no to be seen. Ultimately, we had no choice but to
go to the hospital mortuary where we found her dead body.
After her father’s un-timely death, she was the only
salvation for the family. We lost all our hopes and Vichithra
lost her life due to the ruthless activities of the LTTE Tamil
Tiger terrorists who have no sympathy or regard the lives
of innocent people. |
